Anyone who was alive in 1990 remembers "The X- Files "in some shape or form. I remember being terrified as a child, but also be able to look away every time I caught an episode on television. Regardless of your feelings about the series, there is no doubt that this was a spectacle revolutionary for the time. That makes it all the more terrifying than the show itself almost did not is due to the intervention of the FBI.

well, that's weird as hell. I'm willing to bet that the FBI had someone assigned to watch each episode as it aired to ensure they get too close to the truth themselves. Then again, maybe I'm just being paranoid.
